- Description
- Central to interactive documentary is a strong emphasis on collaborative practice, whether this begins from the conception of a project, with home materials are gathered, or how collaborative relationships inform storytelling style and content. In the case of a webdoc, this might govern the structure of the site itself, either with interactivity defined as the opportunity for co-creating meaning with users, or in the ways in which a site is populated by users' content. This chapter addresses a different notion of 'co-creation' - one which is more pervasive within this form of documentary culture and more intimately derived from the nature of technologies used to crate, develop and present interactive works.
